It turns out NBA fans will be able to play the game a bit sooner than expected if you preorder a copy for PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. 2K Sports has announced Early Tip-Off begins September 4, two days before the game’s official September 6 launch. This preorder benefit applies to both physical and digital versions of the game, and major retailers such as Amazon have already adjusted the date to September 4 for PlayStation and Xbox physical copies. This surprise preorder perk isn’t available for the Nintendo Switch version of NBA 2K25.
NBA 2K25 is slated for a September 6 launch, with stars from both the NBA and WNBA facing its cover. Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, and Hall of Famer Vince Carter are featured on the cover of the game’s four different editions–each packed with more virtual goodies than the last.

The trailer features an extended gameplay sequence from an early-game quest that sees the custom-made player-character (who goes by Rook, in this instance) meeting up with some familiar faces as he tries to stop Solas from completing a ritual that will rip open the Veil. Square Enix has announced that Foamstars will not be receiving any new season updates after its upcoming one ends on January 17, 2025. However, a concluding update will add several new gameplay features.
The update will allow players to customize shots of each other and add new enhancements like Prism Gems. There will also be series of in-game events named after each character called Foamstars Cup.
Thankfully, the game’s servers will still be online for the foreseeable future, and previous season passes will be made available again.
